Every folder has a narrative home

index.md is a folder’s first screen — rules, decisions, and roadmap as prose, with the document list generated automatically.

SharedContextKnowledge

A list of filenames tells a reader nothing about what matters. Every folder now opens with its index.mdthe rules, decisions, and pointers a reader must see before anything else, written as prose.

Narrative first, listing automatic.

The index holds only what has to be seen every time: conventions, standing decisions, the current roadmap. The list of documents in the folder is appended automatically — each with a one-line description pulled from the document itself — so the index never turns into a hand-maintained table of contents.

Agents read it the same way.

When an Agent opens a session, each scope's index narrative is the first thing it receives. The same screen that orients a person orients the Agent — write it once, and neither has to be re-briefed.
