We're rolling out Eaven-1.6. In this update, Eaven doesn't just answer better — the way it thinks has changed.
Thinks only as hard as the question needs
Until now, Eaven put about the same effort into every reply. It now sizes up the question first, and thinks only as deeply as the question calls for.
- Quick factual questions get a quick answer
- Complex decisions or structural questions get more time
You wait less on the easy stuff, and get sturdier answers on the hard stuff.
Tidies up after every conversation
After each reply, Eaven quietly organizes what just happened in the background. The next time you come back, it picks up where you left off with a clearer memory.
You shouldn't have to explain "that thing we talked about" twice.
Reads your space more carefully
Before answering, Eaven looks through your space for context that's actually relevant to what you asked. So replies stay tied to your project, your decisions, your situation — not generic answers.
On the first turn of a new chat or simple acknowledgments like "ok", this step is skipped so the reply isn't needlessly delayed.
Shows you what it's doing
While Eaven works on a reply, you can see where it is — thinking, searching, drafting — with live durations on each step. Status transitions smoothly between phases, with elapsed seconds shown throughout.

Steadier conversations
- Fixed an issue where stopping a message and editing or resending could mix in leftover state from the aborted reply.
- Fixed a bug where resuming a paused conversation would drop the previous assistant response from context.
